FAQ
What is amm.eth?
amm.eth lets you swap ETH to tokens by sending ETH to an ENS name. Send ETH to usdc.amm.eth and receive USDC back to your address. No frontend, no wallet connection, no transaction signing required.
How does it work?
Each trading pair has a smart contract deployed on Ethereum mainnet with an ENS subdomain pointing to it. When you send ETH to the contract, it automatically swaps your ETH for the target token via Uniswap V3 and sends the tokens back to your address in the same transaction.
Which wallets are supported?
Any self-custody wallet that supports sending to ENS names. MetaMask, Rainbow, Ledger, Trezor, Coinbase Wallet, etc.
What tokens can I swap to?
Currently USDC, USDT, WBTC, and DAI. Send ETH to usdc.amm.eth, usdt.amm.eth, wbtc.amm.eth, or dai.amm.eth. More tokens and L2 support are planned. Each new token gets its own ENS subdomain and contract.
What are the fees?
Each pair has a small fee in basis points (shown on the dashboard). For example, 0.30% means 30 basis points. This is on top of the standard Uniswap V3 pool fee and Ethereum gas costs.
What are the minimum and maximum amounts?
Minimum is 0.01 ETH (dust protection) and maximum is 100 ETH (slippage protection). Sending outside these bounds will cause the transaction to revert and your ETH will be returned.
How is slippage handled?
The contract uses a Chainlink price feed to calculate the expected output and applies a configurable slippage tolerance. If the swap would result in too much slippage, the transaction reverts and your ETH is returned.
Is it safe?
The contracts are non-custodial. Your ETH is swapped and tokens are returned in the same transaction. There are no approvals, no deposits, and no funds held by the contract. If anything goes wrong, the transaction reverts and you keep your ETH. All contracts are verified on Etherscan so you can read the source code yourself.
Can I send from a centralized exchange (CEX)?
No. Do not send directly from a CEX like Coinbase, Binance, or Kraken. The tokens are returned to the sender address, and with a CEX withdrawal that address belongs to the exchange, not you. Always send from a wallet you control.
Can I swap tokens back to ETH?
Not currently. amm.eth only supports ETH to token swaps. The contract is triggered by receiving ETH, so token-to-ETH swaps would require a different mechanism.
